Uncharted 4 – A Legacy Worth Discovering

Naughty Dog’s PlayStation 4 exclusive Uncharted 4 has a rich and exalted past. I remember the first time I played a then little-known title for the PS3. It became a date and a game night scenario for me, after the first 5 minutes of exploration. My better half and I beat Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune; wishing for a sequel ASAP because we couldn’t get enough. Little did we know that its sequel, Uncharted: Honor Among Thieves, would change the history of gaming.

I remember when my very pregnant partner came through the door to find the Uncharted 2 trailer all queued up and waiting for her to watch it with me. She was in shock, squealing at what came next-this continued for a long time! Even till we finally reached the end of the game, this continued on and did not slake our thirst for more… always more to find and to treasure.

Bar fights and rough seas aboard awaited us on our next adventure with Drake in Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. This time, however, we were dealing with a little scallywag, aged 3. She was always trying to stay up and watch us play during the few hours we would steal for ourselves at night. One of her favorite tactics was to scurry into the room before we played and hide herself, hoping we wouldn’t notice! We did…

As of now, I have beaten Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. It’s a nostalgic journey, one filled with both the familiar and the new; joy and sadness and a bit of regret. Once you have beaten the game, you will be compelled to revisit old friends that have been on this journey with you. Thank God for the Uncharted Collection, which allows you to do just that, and replay them all on your PS4 in glorious HD… I think my daughter will finally get

to play the games she always tried to steal a peek at.

The best part about Uncharted 4 is that the person who has been there for me in my life and throughout my journey with Nathan and crew- My Elena, can now play it herself due to the included accessibility options for the disabled. Thank you, Naughty Dog, for giving us one of the greatest adventures in Gaming- Life…
