Lego Exhibit at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Glendale, CA

When people think of cemeteries, they think of tombstones, gravestones, floral arrangements, burials, funerals, and hearses. Definitely nothing cheerful or for children. However, Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California has an exceptional free museum with plenty of free parking that is open seven days a week to the public. Exhibits rotate after a few months. It was the first time I took my service dog, Ray, to a museum, but he behaved rather well. Not only did we get to view some traditional museum items such as antiquities, statues, and paintings, but we saw the Lego sculptures complete with lamps and tables as well as the Drew & Bob – Masters of Movie Art exhibit. I was pleasantly surprised to see The Walking Dead poster as one of the items displayed. “Free” is a word uttered fairly infrequently in this part of the world, so hurry before the exhibits rotate out on May 26, 2014.
