Electronic Arts Press Conferences – EA E3 2014 and 2015 – Looking Back & Forward

Electronic Arts Press Conferences – EA E3 2014 and 2015 – Looking Back & Forward

First and foremost I want to give a huge thank you to Electronic Arts Entertainment and staff for allowing the Phoenix Genesis team (myself included) to cover the press conference last year and accommodating our service dog Ray over the last few years. The event only lasted an hour, but it was jam packed with trailers, live gameplay and developers dropping the exciting news on their upcoming games. The following is a brief highlight of EA’s 2014 press conference and its top headliner titles.

E3 2014 EA Press Conference was a very informative and entertaining experience showcasing the latest and greatest games releasing in the next few months or near future. There were no crazy new announcements – at least none which we hadn’t already been leaked in previous weeks, but there was so much new footage alongside with the developers on stage showcasing their games. They gave us a short teaser of Mass Effect, UFC, FIFA 15, Battlefield Hardline, and Dragon Age: Inquisition just to name a few titles. But the biggest news was Star Wars: Battlefront in which they showcased in-game screenshots and character models as well as some behind-the-scenes footage. We got to see the team working on the game and showing off in-game locations, weapons, and vehicles that thankfully stay true to the movie.

We got hands on Battlefield Hardline multiplayer, which sadly was the only game displayed. I wished they would have had a build of Star Wars: Battlefront but they didn’t. Its nice to have a new game to try out because not only is it important to see the trailer and gameplay, but also to experience the game before it’s released to be able to see what has been in development as well as providing  constructive feedback to developers on what should be changed or kept in the game. We can only hope developer press conferences keep improving and in 2015 we expect to see so much more. I am sure you are excited as much as we are, stay tuned here on phoenixgenesis.com and our YouTube channel Phoenix Genesis for more EA video game coverage.

Top highlights of the EA 2015 press conference including, but are not limited to, Star Wars: Battlefront, Mirrors Edge 2, Mass Effect 4, BioWare’s secret new IP (new title name not yet released, but we’re crossing fingers to its worldwide reveal at their upcoming press conference) and the new racing game by Criterion Games (new title name not released, but again, we hope to learn more at E3 2015).
